We have pickin' picnics the third weekend of each month from April through October (No picnic in September during Walnut Valley Festival)

Monthly Kansas Bluegrass Association Jam    [back to top]

There is a bluegrass jam session the first Saturday of each month (except September) at the Immanuel Baptist church in Wichita.  These jams are an open informal session (bluegrass, of course) with players of many levels.  All are welcome to come to just listen, or bring your instrument and participate at your comfort level.

  • Garden City, Kansas - third Thursday of each month, 7-9:00 pm at Kadee's Coffee Break, 210 E. Spruce. Street. Some good basic folk and bluegrass pickin and a guaranteed audience. This jam has been going on for the past two years. Contact: Kadee's Coffee Break @ (620) 271-9555 or Marty - 
     
  • Liberal, Kansas - 2nd Tuesday of each month, 6:30 - 9:00 at the Baker Arts Center, brand new jam with a focus on bluegrass and folk music. This is in a nice place with a dedicated audience. Contact: Baker Arts Center @ (620) 624-2810 or Marty - 
     
  • McPherson, Kansas - Last Thursday of each month, 7-10 pm -
    First Christian Church, 101 South Walnut.
